Absolute Intense Wrestling sent out the following:

BJ Whitmer’s reign as the Intense Division Champion was the longest individual championship reign in Absolute Intense Wrestling history, lasting from his victory over Bobby Beverly at Absolution VII in June 2012 to Gleaming the Cube in August 2013. At #CUBE, Whitmer surrendered the Intense Division Championship due to an injury sustained during Ring of Honor’s World Heavyweight Championship tournament. The Intense Division Title was then hung 15 feet in the air and fought for by five of the hungriest young competitors on the independent scene in a mind-blowing ladder match for the ages.

BJ Whitmer would announce his retirement from professional wrestling shortly after #CUBE at ROH’s Death Before Dishonor iPPV. We at Absolute Intense Wrestling have been incredibly proud to have The Buzzsaw as an integral member of the roster and all-around locker room leader since his return to professional wrestling at our 2011 event, The Tournament. We not only wish Whitmer a speedy recovery and the best in retirement, but look forward to seeing him at Turners Hall in his new role as a producer on our upcoming shows.
