Vince McMahon & George Barrios commented on WWE’s third quarter earnings in a press release issued by the company this morning.

Vince McMahon noted that during the third quarter, WWE’s achievements were highlighted by the production and monetization of new content, including Total Divvas, the expansion of pay-per-view distribution on the Playstation 3, as well as the formation of new partnerships with sponsors such as General Mills and Kraft.

Meanwhile, George Barrios noted that the accomplishments reflect the strength of the WWE brand, including a national TV audience that exceeds the annual reach of other sports and entertainment programs, stating that the strength provides a solid foundation for the renegotiation of the WWE’s TV contracts and the potential launch of a WWE Network. Barrios noted that based on the company’s ability to create powerful, entertainining content and to expand distribution, the WWE believe that they are poised to transform their business.

Barrios continued by saying that given the rising value of live content that has a broad, loyal following, the WWE are confident that they will be able to negotiate their key domestic agreements by the end of April 2014 and that the WWE’s efforts, including the potential launch of a WWE Network, will keep the company on track to double or triple their 2012 OIBDA results of $63m by 2015. Barrios said that as the WWE strive to transform the company’s earnings profile, they believe that their 2013 OIBDA results, excluding the impact of film impairments, will fall within the previously communicated range of $40m-$50m.
