Newly-crowned IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay took part in the post-AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door media scrum and discussed several topics, including his match against Kenny Omega for the title, the potential of him appearing at the AEW All In: London event and more.

Ospreay said that he felt like the eyes of the world were on him for their first match at Wrestle Kingdom, and felt it again for their match at Forbidden Door. All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan stated that their match was one of the greatest matches he’s ever seen.

Ospreay said that he felt that his body was breaking down, and as a result, he would likely wrap up doing dates on the independent wrestling scene this year. Ospreay said that in regards to recent injuries, he partially tore his pectoral tendon recently, but has rehabbed it and now, there is a deformity that is permanent, while his shoulder came out during a recent match with Hiroshi Tanahashi, with weakness in that area still.

Ospreay said that in regards to future opponents, he would like to face Pro Wrestling NOAH’s Naomichi Marufuji, but that the ball is in their court as far as getting that done. Ospreay also addressed potentially appearing at the AEW All In: London event, noting that he will be facing off against Shingo Takagi for the Revolution Pro Wrestling (RevPro) promotion the day before and that he would love to be part of the card in some capacity, but that he doesn’t work for AEW and that decision is down to Tony Khan to work something out.
