Officials from Hillsborough County in Tampa, Florida held an emergency policy meeting today to discuss several topics surrounding the ongoing situation regarding Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and the possibility of WrestleMania 36 being postponed or cancelled as a result.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor revealed during the meeting that the city has a few weeks until WrestleMania 36 takes place and that a decision regarding the event does not need to be made at this time and that if the WWE does not make a decision regarding the event, they will re-open the discussion next week in order to reach a conclusion so that those attending know where they stand.

Meanwhile, Florida governor Ron DeSantis has called for a 30-day ban on all mass gathering, stating that he does not have the authority to cancel events, but that action should be taken by leagues in an effort to prevent the virus from spreading. U.S. President Donald Trump, last night, instituted a 30-day ban from mainland Europe (excluding Ireland and the UK) that comes into effect tomorrow.

WWE have yet to make an official announcement regarding the current situation on WrestleMania 36 going ahead or being postponed.
