WWE’s Senior Vice President and Head of Global Sales and Partnerships Craig Stimmel noted to the Associated Press ahead of this weekend’s WrestleMania 39 that the sponsorship revenue for the event has doubled to more than $20 million, making this a record for any WWE event.

Last month, it was reported that the sponsorship revenue was somewhere in the region of $14 million – $15 million for the events as Take Two, Mars/Snickers, Pepsi and Cinnamon Toast Crunch were on board as sponsors.

Stimmel noted that the WWE will incorporate those brands into the show in various ways, which includes match sponsorship.
