WWE applied to trademark the term “Harlem Heat”, the name used by WWE Hall of Famers Booker T and Stevie Ray on January 13th with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The filing for the trademark notes that it is for, “G & S: Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas”

The timing of WWE’s trademark filing is interesting as the company teased The Revival vs. Harlem Heat on WWE television, which has yet to be followed up on, while the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view is scheduled to be held in Houston, Texas next week, the hometown of Booker T and Stevie Ray.
