With WWE’s DVD deal with Viviendi coming to a close in mid-2012, a report from Mike Fleming of Deadline.com notes that WWE Studios and 20th Century FOX Home Home Entertainment have partnered on three films that will be straight-to-DVD releases, with the first scheduled release to be The Marine: Homefront or The Marine 3. 20th Century FOX Home Entertainment will be handling the worldwide distribution for the movies on Blu-Ray, DVD, Video on Demand and Digital Download, with WWE using RAW, SmackDown, NXT, Superstars, pay-per-view and the WWE Network and their marketing to promote each film.

Speaking to Deadline.com, WWE Studios President Michael Luisi noted that WWE Studios will continue to expand its film offerings to appeal to a wide range of movie fans in both 2012 and 2013 and that the company looks forward to building upon their relationship with 20th Century FOX Home Entertainment to present movies that bring action, adventure and humor to audiences all over the globe. Meanwhile, Mike Dunn, the President of 20th Century FOX Home Entertainment noted that WWE is a tremendous organization supported by a world class marketing machine and that the company are proud to continue their partnership with Michael Luisi and his team.
