In a sad bit of news for professional wrestling fans with the service, various cable providers have sent out notice to subscribers that effective as of January 1st, 2012 the WWE Classics on Demand service will be shutting down.

The move is being made, as WWE will move all programming to the WWE Network which debuts on April 1st, 2012.

WWE are yet to make an official announcement on the closure.
