WWE are considering an idea for the WWE Network in 2019 that would see the platform run a special event featuring talent that are not under contract, opening the doors to more working relationships, according to a report from The Wrestling Observer.

The report notes that while talent from PROGRESS Wrestling, Insane Championship Wrestling and WWN Live (the parent company of EVOLVE Wrestling and several other promotions) may feature in this event as part of WWE’s working relationship with those three companies, the idea is that talents from other companies would also be involved, but that getting the early plans for the event up and running relies on Vince McMahon giving it the green light for 2019.
