WWE applied to trademark “The Great American Bash” on April 27th with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office).

WWE resurrected the old Jim Crockett Promotions/WCW name as a pay-per-view event in 2004, using it for several years, shortening the name to “The Bash” in 2009, before dropping the event.

An episode of WWE SmackDown in 2012 was branded as “The Great American Bash”, the last time the company used the name.
