WWE officials are said to be heavily interested in locking in former TNA Knockouts Marti Belle and Jade (Mia Yim) for the upcoming Women’s Tournament later this year, while the promotion are also said to be scouting the SHIMMER promotion in regards to several talents, according to a report from PWInsider.com.

The company noted previously that women from 17 different countries will be represented in the tournament, with international talents being a major focus of the show. The internal belief is that names such as Nixon Newell (Wales) and Evie (New Zealand) will be featured in this tournament as they are reported to have signed deals with the company back in December 2016, while other names including Kairi Hojo (Japan) and Demi Bennett (Australia) may also be part of the series.

WWE will begin taping the tournament on Thursday, July 13th and Friday, July 14th at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, with the plan to release several episodes of the series at one time on the WWE Network instead of a weekly episode, similar to Camp WWE/Holy Foley and other shows, while there are plans to hold the tournament finals on Tuesday, August 29th.
