WWE NXT announced the creation of the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships during tonight’s episode on the USA Network, with Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, the winners of the 2021 Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament, declared the first-ever winners.

Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart issued a challenge to the first-ever Champions, which was made official for later in the evening by WWE NXT General Manager William Regal.
