WWE held a talent meeting prior to last night’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view that was headed by Stephanie McMahon, which was the typical speech that the company does from time-to-time, however the only thing of note addressed was All Elite Wrestling as their competition, according to a report from Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer.
The report notes that during the meeting, the WWE brand was pushed hard, as were the same social media and YouTube stats, while the company noted that they have to compete with the likes of video games, movies and other streaming services, as well as the emerging AEW, the first time WWE have mentioned a competing wrestling company during their meetings in several years.
