In Ring Segment
WWE ring announcer Mike Rome announced that this is The Undertaker’s Final Farewell as he introduced Shane McMahon, The Big Show, JBL, Jeff Hardy, Mick Foley, The Godfather, Henry Godwinn, Phineas Godwinn, Savio Vega, Rikishi, Kevin Nash, Booker T, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Triple H and Kane.
A video package then aired, looking at The Undertaker’s greatest moments over the years, followed by Vince McMahon in the ring as the show returned to the arena. Vince McMahon said that for thirty years, three decades, across the WWF and now WWE Universe, The Undertaker, not withstanding his hardships and injuries, struck terror in the eyes of his opponents and entertained the fans, but that tonight marks the end of an era of the most storied career that will never be duplicated.
Vince said that tonight, we say goodbye, that nothing lasts forever, but the legacy of The Undertaker will live on eternally. Vince then introduced The Undertaker who said that for thirty long years, he made the slow walk to the ring and laid people to rest time and time again, but that now his time has come to let The Undertaker rest in peace.
The Undertaker went to his knees to do his infamous pose as Paul Bearer’s voice echoed around the arena, followed by a hologram of him in-ring. The Undertaker, after taking it all in, headed out of the ring and to the back for the final time.
