In the latest issue of the WWE Magazine, the company are teasing the potential in-ring return of Chris Jericho at the WWE Money in the Bank pay-per-view on June 29th at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, noting that Jericho has unfinished business in the ladder match itself as he’s had multiple appearances, but no wins, just like Christian, Cody Rhodes and Kofi Kingston.

WWE’s blurb about Jericho reads, “4 Appearances; 0 Wins – Already with a Hall of Fame-worthy career, Jericho could still use a win at this event to make us forget about some lackluster recent returns to the ring. A contract cash-in would be just the thing he needs to net him a seventh World Title also.”

The first-ever WWE Undisputed Champion left the company last year to continue outside interests as well as continue his work with his band Fozzy and do one-man touring shows. There were discussions for his return at WrestleMania 30, however a deal wasn’t reached. Jericho has noted in an interview in the past that he’ll return to the company if there is an opportunity and storyline for him to sink his teeth into, however, he won’t come back just to return to the WWE and would be completely fine if his in-ring career came to an end.
