WWE announced during today’s Third Quarter 2020 conference call that they will be partnering with Sony India for an event focused on developing Indian stars in 2021.

WWE’s President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Khan noted during the call that the event, which will primarily feature the development of Indian superstars, will air across Sony platforms in India and be distributed domestically in the United States, however no platform for United States distribution was announced.

Khan said that the WWE want to make sure that they have the right talent for the event and that the cost structure will resonate for the company and Sony business, while noting that there will be more events if it makes sense for all parties involved. Khan added that the WWE continues to develop localized content, as they believe that those partnerships are the best way to build engagement and maximize the value of content for international partners and fans.
