Zack Sabre Jr. was crowned the winner of the New Japan Cup 2022 during today’s NJPW New Japan Cup 2022 Day 15 (Finals) event at the Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka, Japan, defeating Tetsuya Naito to win the tournament.

As part of his victory in the New Japan Cup 2022, Zack Sabre Jr. announced that he will challenge Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship as part of NJPW Hyper Battle 2022 Night 4 on April 9th, with NJPW yet to officially confirm the match as of writing.
