– Former WWE Champion John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) is in town for tonight’s WWE RAW 1000 and is expected to appear on the show. As of writing, it is unknown as to what his role on the show will be, however, from a personal level, he’s one person I would expect to see in the hat for a potential General Manager role, despite his Seven Summits Challenge, which the company are promoting. You can also add Hacksaw Jim Duggan to that list as he was seen by fans this morning in the area.

– Rock band Green Day, whose song “Know Your Enemy” is used for WWE SmackDown, are in town and staying at the WWE hotel. They told fans last night that they would be attending WWE RAW 1000, however it is not known if they will be performing on the show, if a new RAW theme has been recorded, or whether they are just guests of the company tonight.

– In an update on Kelly Kelly’s return to the company tonight, it is believed to be a one-shot deal to have her return, to see her immediately return to her temporary hiatus. Many within the company feel that this will tell whether Kelly wants to stick about or leave the company for good after tonight.

– Former WWE superstar Montel Vontavious Porter, who is working for New Japan Pro Wrestling, noted that he wouldn’t be at tonight’s WWE RAW 1000 episode. MVP wasn’t on yesterday’s big NJPW show, so it will be interesting to see if he’s trying to downplay a return or if he is telling the truth.

– As we mentioned earlier on the website, The Undertaker is scheduled to return on tonight’s show. The TV Guide description for tonight’s show lists The Undertaker and Mean Gene Okerlund amongst those already confirmed for tonight’s show.

– Shane Helms, better known to wrestling fans as The Hurricane, noted on his Twitter account that he will not be at WWE RAW 1000 stating that he’s under contract with another company. The company I believe he is talking about is Lucha Libre USA. He’s also been announced for Juggalo Championship Wrestling’s Gathering of the Juggalos event.
