WWE announced during tonight’s edition of WWE Main Event on the WWE Network that the show will be pre-empted next week. Santino Marella will be hosting a Royal Rumble lottery spectacular during the timeslot.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella opened the WWE SmackDown tapings at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to announce that he was the acting WWE SmackDown General Manager for this week’s show.

Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella is booked to appear at this Monday’s edition of WWE RAW. Marella, who is curently inactive as he recovers from surgery will be on RAW to help promote “Jingle All The Way 2” alongside Larry The Cable Guy.

Speaking through his official Twitter account, WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella noted that he has been cleared to return to training on his upper body. “Just got cleared to train upper body today, time to check the ego at the door & start from the beginning. WWE Superstar Santino Marella got engaged to his girlfriend Anna last night. Anna is a fitness trainer and runs classes at Santino’s Battle Arts Academy in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Speaking through his official Twitter account, WWE Superstar Santino Marella noted that he began his first day of working out, just 2 weeks after undergoing neck surgery. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion is working towards making an in-ring return when fully healed.
