In an update on the WWE Mae Young Classic Tournament, WWE are planning to distribute the upcoming tournament in a different way, according to a report from PWInsider.com.

The report notes that the plan is to film the 32 woman tournament on July 13th and 14th at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida for the WWE Network and that the WWE Network will debut a preview special for the tournament on August 20th, with the first round of the tournament being released to the On Demand section the final week of August to let the fans binge-watch the episodes, while the second round will be released during the first week of September on the On Demand section.

The report further states that initially, the plan was for the WWE to release the episodes around SummerSlam week, but the decision was then made to hold off so that the Women’s Tournament would not be overshadowed by everything else that the company had scheduled for that week.

As of now, the current plan is to hold the finals live on Tuesday, September 12th, which means that the finals may end up being broadcast prior to WWE SmackDown Live or after WWE SmackDown Live/205 Live on that night.
