In an interview with The UK Sun, former WWE Superstar Dave Bautista noted that he’s not a big fan of the current PG direction that the WWE has taken in recent years and that the company became too corny, which was a factor in him deciding to leave the company.

Batista stated that the reason he left was the PG direction the company took, that it became too corny and he was a huge fan of the edgy era when DX, Stone Cold Steve Austin and the others could do and say what they felt like and that the change in direction really ruined the appeal of the WWE to him before noting that it’s well recorded that he isn’t a fan of the likes of John Cena or The Miz and it’s such a different company these days and not in a good way.

Batista then went on record to note that he has no plans to return anytime soon and that he was offered a role of working on WWE Tough Enough but didn’t think it was for him and was happy to hear it went well with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the lead man on the show and he needs to be excited about a project and didn’t feel that way about working on WWE Tough Enough. Batista stated that if he did decide to return to the company it would be for a lengthy run and not just a one-shot deal and he’d have to be a constant for them and not someone who drifts in and out to boost the ratings and would love to work with Triple H or The Undertaker again as they are the best workers in the company and would make it worthwhile to return to the WWE before reiterating that the show would have to change, so he can’t see his return being anytime soon.

Batista then said that he pretty much did it all in his time with the company and his favourite wrestling moments are not necessarily his best one, but they are however the ones that mean the most to him, such as his first World Championship win, winning the tag team titles with Ric Flair amongst others and can’t complain about the matches he has had and the people he has faced as he had a wonderful time in the company, but felt that it was time to go.
